The Ideal Nashville Weekend Staycation

As the great American poets Blink 182 once said, “work sucks, I know.” Every so often, the pressures of the job can build to a breaking point and you just need to get away to maintain your sanity.

We wrote before about amazing day getaways out of Nashville. But getting away can be difficult. So what’s your alternative? Staycation! Here is the perfect relaxing weekend right at home in Nashville.

It’s finally here! The work week is done, 5 o’clock has come, and you’re ready to get things started. And what better way to end the day than with rosé? Stop by Two Bits for All Day Rosé. You can enjoy your wine by the bottle, by the bucket, or frozen. Variety is the spice of life! And while you’re sipping, you can relive your childhood with over 20 retro arcade games. Then, head to Del Frisco’s Grille and treat yourself to an elegant dinner and cocktail. Be sure to get a reservation far enough in advance! Finish strong with a Molten Chocolate Cake for dessert, and then head home for bed. You’ve got a big day ahead of you tomorrow.

Start your morning with a relaxing stroll by the river through Riverfront Park. When you get to the end of the park, head down two blocks to The Sun Diner for a classic Nashville breakfast. After breakfast, it’s time to play tourist in your own city. Check out the heart of the music industry at the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum. You can see learn the unknown stories of the stars and the incredible musicians behind the stars. Next, it’s time for lunch at Rae’s Gourmet Sandwich Shoppe. The afternoon plan is a tour of The Ryman, home of the world-famous Grand Ole Opry. Finally, it’s time for dinner, drinks, and a show at The Big Bang Dueling Pianos. After a long day of city excursions, it’s time to head home and catch some shut-eye.

Today, we explore around the city. Start things off with breakfast at The Garden Brunch Cafe. At this cute, artsy restaurant, you can savor your breakfast surrounded by dazzling works of art in a charming cafe/gallery environment.
